Report An Incident

Our data streams catch a great deal, but not everything. Local incidents in areas with thin news coverage often go unrecorded — if you have seen something, tell us and we will check it.

Location on the map — optional

Click the map where it happened. Pick a street or landmark, not a private home: the position is rounded to about 100 metres.

No pin placed
Sources — news article, official statement, agency bulletin
Photos — optional, up to 4, 8 MB each

Photos help the moderator check the report. They are not published, and location data inside them is removed on upload. Only send photos you took or have the right to share, and nothing showing injured people's faces.

Never published or shared.

What we can publish

  • Incidents with a verifiable source — a news article, official statement or agency bulletin.
  • A clear location: at minimum the country, ideally the city or district.
  • Factual description. We do not publish casualty figures unless an official source states them.

What we cannot publish

  • Rumours, unverifiable claims or forwarded messages with no source.
  • Named private individuals, personal data or graphic material.
  • Anything that reads as targeting a person or community.

What happens next

  1. You get a private receipt link.
  2. A moderator checks your sources and details.
  3. If it can be verified, it becomes a public incident record, labelled as a reader report. The status rules apply to it like any other record.
  4. The receipt page shows the outcome.

In an emergency

Do not use this form to seek help. Call your local emergency number. This site is a monitoring record, not an emergency service.
